Frontier has put in new, smaller seats with very little cushioning and no head rests. The tray tables were small. I didn't realize we were in the upgraded section and the tray tables further in the rear would hardly fit a large cell phone. In the past, my back pack would easily fit under the seat in front of me. No longer. I couldn't fit even half of my backpack under the seat. Time are changing.
Denver early morning

Watching the Broncos play the Patriots to kill some time while waiting for our room. We got to our destination early. Although the furnishings were a bit Spartan, it was good to catch the game.
Then there was this mysterious figure, who sat down in the center of the circle they made by walking around in the sand. The camera picked up more light than was actually there.
More night walking
We go to timeshare presentations occasionally. We did this one to get two $50.00 tickets to the San Diego zoo. This was represented as a mild and low-key affair by the Marriott representative where we were staying. In truth, it was almost a 2 1/2 hour wrestling match with an aggressive salesperson. When I told him I was conservative in my finances he said: "Why so fatalistic? i know what it's like to be fatalistic by having my buddies die on the battlefield, never to come home." He was an ex-marine. My friend showed me an article when i got home that showed how timeshare sales are becoming uber-aggressive. I believe it. We feel we got beat to a pulp and would not put ourselves through something like that for a mere $100.00.
The Cheetah at the San Diego zoo had a K9 companion. Since Cheetahs are high strung, the companion helps to keep them calm.
Original Pancake House
The small creations were called Dutch Babies and the large creations were called German Pancakes. Awesome ingredients. They brought us a little pitcher of heavy whipping cream for our coffee.
Old Town San Diego
Flying home in the rain
We hit an unusually warm and sunny week in Southern California. There was a storm blowing in the morning we took off from San Diego to go back home.. There was also a storm moving in to Denver. We managed to fly in between the storms.
